SCLAN: Site Control Local Area Network

• Bus: standard twisted pair with 38kb/s to 1 MB/s; Optional Fast or Gigabit Ethernet (100 / 1000 MB/s)

• Power supply via standard bus: 9-30V with up to 250W per segment, e.g. also for emergency lighting

• Topology: "Peer-to-peer"; Intelligent, equal, identical in construction, and versatile useable controller; There is no central controller required (no "single point of failure")

Actuators: Universally usable actuators without fixed function binding; e.g. high performance dimmer with channel bundling, power switching, DAC, switching inputs; Low voltage power switch / -dimmer; various direct controller ports, Audio-/ Multiroom

Bus Protocol: DMS (dynamic message script); Compressed binary protocol without static constraints and with any flexibility; Short multicast messages also for comprehensive, systemwide commands

• Transparent embedding of third-party interfaces and protocols such as: RS-232/RS-485 / DMX; in preparation: e.g. KNX / Dali... These different functions "inherit" at the same time the complex capability of SCLAN

Function configuration be effected absolutly via software with any functional port mappings (e.g. system-wide free assignment of logical light channel groups - accross installed actuators, controllers and areas). All functionality - also individually adapted ones and ones which are added to the runtime - run in the already installed standard controllers (no special modules for specific control functions or modes of operation are necessary)

Remote maintenance via highly secured maintenance interface with direct, simple spot check by the owner himself or by a local technician (SSH/VPN). Configuration, updates and modifications can usually be done without interruption by technicians on-site

Basic functions: Including user adjustable light scenes for channel groups with each 65536 intensities and infinitely variable soft transitions; Motor control, heating control, etc.

Modes of operation: Affects the behavior of the system automatically and also depending on e.g. weather, calendar, presence etc., but also of individually tailored conditions or events

Web Interface: SCLAN-to-HTTP Gateway for operation of the system e.g. by tablet or mobile phone

Event - and sensor-logging and consumption optimization

Timer Events: Time and date with event scheduling; Auto-calendar up to the year 2255; absolute and relative dates

Consistent use of all integrated and linked third-party-functions
